Taper's notice: "Swiss radio station SRF3 broadcast this show on 2017-12-27.
They advertised to broadcast the entire show uncut. In reality there was a break
after every couple of songs. What's more - they
skipped three songs. I know they played them, because I was at the show myself
on this rainy Monday evening in Dübendorf, just a
few hundred meters from the city limit of Zürich.
Remember when you could tape a live show from the radio with one or two station
IDs and hardly any talk by the presenter?
Well, those days are truly gone at SRF3. They put station IDs everywhere (they
chose the most annoying ones), even at the
beginning of songs (as you can certainly hear). The presenter cut short quite a
few songs by talking over them before they ended.
There had to be done quite a bit of editing. I tried to leave only those IDs
that were played during songs. I had to keep a short
part of presenter talk when he talked during the beginning of 'Head Like a
Haunted House'. I hope this is an enjoyable recording
in spite of the flaws mentioned.
The sound quality is excellent. It sounds really great on my stereo."
