Taper's notes: "Recorded from the far left side of the GA pit. I had some space
around me, so there's
no crowd interference. I had played around with EQ trying to roll off some of
the bass, but in
the end I decided to leave it raw and post it as is. Since I was only about 20
feet or so from the
PA and the subwoofer cabinets on the floor there was definitely some low end
punch at the show.
I stood off to the side enough that I wasn't getting a direct blast off the
floor cabinets. Adjust
the bass to your own taste. On my stereo it sounds great, but in the car I have
to turn it down halfway.
I did make a minor adjustment on the low end for both opening act recordings.
Live2CD's recording
referenced above sounds excellent, but I still wanted to share in case anyone
wants another source.
QOTSA is such a great live act without the visuals, but I really dug the light
show. Enjoy!"
